First Edition of the EPADG Journal

Introducing the Emeritus Parliamentarians in Africa for Democratic Governance (EPADG)

The Emeritus Parliamentarians in Africa for Democratic Governance (EPADG) is pleased to launch the first edition of our quarterly journal. As a Pan-African organization, EPADG is committed to fostering strong democratic governance, transparency, and accountability across the African continent. Our mission is to leverage the wisdom and experience of former parliamentarians to advocate for democracy, support electoral integrity, and empower African nations in their pursuit of sustainable governance.

In recent months, EPADG has actively engaged with key stakeholders to advance our mission. We had the privilege of meeting with the acting Chief Justice, the Deputy Speaker and his officials, and the Executive Director of Chapter One. These engagements underscore our dedication to establishing meaningful partnerships and promoting democratic values across all branches of government.

We are also honored to have been invited to the launch of the Judiciary Committee’s Strategic Plan. Representing EPADG, our Secretary General delivered an important speech, highlighting the importance of judicial collaboration in reinforcing democratic governance and addressing the needs of the people. This invitation marks a significant milestone for EPADG, symbolizing our growing recognition and influence in supporting democratic frameworks throughout Africa.

As we move forward, EPADG will continue to strengthen ties with institutions across the continent, guided by our commitment to democratic principles and the welfare of all African people.
